In this unit, through many activities and through excursions, the Pre-Kindergarten children discover the variety of and learn about the importance of animals and food items and make connections between the subjects and themselves.
After having inquired into different species of animals and their favourite foods, the Pre-Kindergarten children were eager to see some sea animals for themselves.
Valentine’s Day is a time to please your loved ones and the Pre-Kindergarten children wanted to show their families how much they love them. As the children had acquired a lot of knowledge about food and fruits in their current unit “Animals and Food”, this was a great chance to make something edible as a present.
As the school year went on, the Pre-Kindergarten children found additional opportunities to meet different members of the school community and they had a lot of fun doing so!
