We started the year by making class agreements in order to create a safe, comfortable learning atmosphere! First, students were put into two groups to brainstorm ideas that are important to them. Then, they came together as a whole class to discuss what they had written and elaborate on their ideas. After that, they organised and grouped the ideas they felt were the most important. The last step was to change the agreements into “We will” statements.

Grade One has had a very busy start; with a number of new students, teachers, classrooms and of course lots and lots of learning!
Early Years children experimented with dry ice. What happens when it is dropped in water? How about soapy water? As you can see in these photos and video, they had a blast finding out!
On Tuesday, September 6th the Preschool students celebrated their move up from Early Years and into the Primary Years at the Enrollment Party! The upper classes came and welcomed them with a song and the 1st Grade students helped act out a story.
The children of Grade 1 came down to read books to the Kindergarten children.
Students are learning tempo in music (fast / slow) using Indian finger puppets, which they have made on their own.
