Each year on the day before our annual Oktoberfest celebration all of the classes head out of the school to visit one of the local attractions in the Kobe area. As the weather was a bit rainy on the day we had to visit somewhere indoors and this year it just happened to be one of my personal favourites, the Suma Aquarium.
Apparently, we were not the only ones who had scheduled their backup field trip to be at Suma Aquarium, because on the day there were close to 4000 students there! Surprisingly, the only time that it really felt crowded was during the dolphin show, which made it very difficult to get a seat.
Although many of the students had been there before they still had many inquiries about the different creatures. As someone who loves to scuba dive with all of those wonderful creatures it was hard for me to not stop and answer every question! Fortunately we also had several knowledgeable animal experts within our class who were happy to share what they knew about the animals too!
