Class Description

Construction Challenge

Children will learn how to prototype and design through a variety of fun, time-based construction challenges. This is a valuable, warm-up time to get learners in a creative mindset. Children will learn to communicate effectively with others.


Coding with Ms. Lee

Children learn to code at their level and their pace. For the younger kids, this means physical and digital coding projects, as well as learning the basics of electricity, computers and more! They will begin their first steps into the exciting world of coding through guided, block-based coding languages. Older kids will learn how to create animations, mobile apps and online games on a variety of platforms. Primary text-based coding languages will include Python and Javascript.


Collaborative Coding

Children will begin to develop their own coding projects individually before sharing with the larger group. This is free creation time facilitated by the camp teachers.



Open-ended creation time for all children. They are invited to use provided materials to build physical projects. This is truly the time for children to experiment with challenging construction projects. They will learn how to use different kinds of materials and tools to build functional products.


Interactive Movie Time

Every two days, the children will be invited to choose between two movie options. Both movies will be accompanied by related activities or crafts. One of the choices will always be an episode of Planet Earth or Planet Earth 2. Activities will be focused on creating discussion about
