The Kobe Municipal Arboretum is a children`s paradise ! It boasts huge forested areas, wide open spaces, a variety of playgrounds and many opportunities to explore. It is also known for its spectacular views of trees turning into every shade of autumn colours !
So, as part of our inquiry into seasons, the autumn excursion with Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten has become kind of a tradition.
On 19.November 2016 we took the blue and red school buses up into the Rokko mountains, ready for new adventures.
Climbing a long flight of stairs, helping to spread the blue sheet for snack time, trying out unfamiliar playground structures and searching for seasonal offerings were just some of the challenges the children faced and were proud of mastering !
They ate and chatted, played and ran and gave more timid friends a helping hand! They trodded on familiar ground or tried out new ways of doing things.
After a whole day of discovery, all of the children qualified for one of our learner profiles: balanced, inquirer, caring, risk-taker and more.
We had a fantastic day under blue skies in the nature with lots of fun and learning experiences !
